Terms of service

The service

NoxOne provides encrypted storage and sync for passwords, authenticator codes and files, and private email addresses and phone numbers that receive on your behalf. You hold the keys: we cannot read your content and cannot recover it without your password or recovery phrase.

Accounts

You must be at least 16 and provide a contact you control for verification codes. You are responsible for your password, your recovery phrase and the devices you sign in.

Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly. Solo and Teams are bought on this website and Enterprise through our sales team; the iPhone and Android apps sell nothing and show the plan your account already has. Add-ons for extra numbers, addresses and storage are part of Teams; they are bought on this website and billed with the plan; a change is prorated against the period in progress. You may cancel at any time; the plan continues to the end of the paid period. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends; uploads pause and numbers and addresses are released.

Refunds

Payments are final and periods already started are not refunded, including unused time after a cancellation and add-ons removed part way through a period. The reason is that a payment is spent when it is made: numbers, addresses and capacity are bought from carriers, registries and infrastructure providers for the whole period, and those costs are not returned to us. Cancel whenever you like and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.

One thing stands outside this: where the consumer law of your country gives you a right to a refund that an agreement cannot remove, that right still applies.

Numbers and addresses

Personal numbers and addresses receive only. Teams and Enterprise numbers may send within the rules of the carriers and regulators of each country; sender registration may be required. Numbers and addresses may be suspended when carriers, regulators or abuse reports require it. Emergency calling is not supported on any number.

Numbers are for public-facing use, such as social media, online shopping, marketplaces, deliveries and bookings. Do not use a NoxOne number for banking, payment, card, loan or investment accounts, or for government and official services such as tax, benefits, social security, passports, identity checks or voting.

Acceptable use

No unlawful content, no spam, fraud, harassment or impersonation, and no attempts to break the service for others. Organisations are responsible for their members' use.

Liability

The service is provided as is. We are not liable for loss caused by a lost password or recovery phrase, by carriers or third parties, or by circumstances outside our control, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may change these terms with notice on this page; continued use after the notice is acceptance.
